Kevin Rowe and the Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Foundation are Proud to Help Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer
The Run / Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer is the largest fundraising and awareness event for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC). Last year the NOCC Valley of the Sun Chapter was able to raise over $74,000 to help support ovarian cancer education and awareness programs. Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is once again proud to support their efforts to improve the overall quality of life and survival rates of women with ovarian cancer.
NOCC – The Impact of Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer is not usually diagnosed until the latent stage as there is currently no early detection tests for the disease. NOCC is working diligently to help improve the five-year survival rate by encouraging women, their family members and doctors to check for the following possible early signs of ovarian cancer:
- Pelvic or abdominal pain
- Trouble eating
- Feeling full quickly
- Feeling the need to urinate often or urgently
The following video created by NOCC shows how many people are impacted by ovarian cancer on a daily basis.
