Phoenix, Arizona (May 2, 2018) – A Phoenix pedestrian died after a car struck him on Tuesday, May 2nd 2018. The man, identified by police as David Curry Sr., crossed 83rd Ave mid-block. The driver of the vehicle hit Curry Sr. and stayed on site to wait for police to arrive.
Curry Sr. was 53 years old.
The driver is a 24-year-old man. Police stated he is under investigation for impairment. Police suspect he was high on prescription medication.
The investigation is ongoing.
Thus far, 41 pedestrians have been killed in 2018 in Phoenix.
