Phoenix Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car

Phoenix, AZ (May 14, 2018) – A car struck and killed a Phoenix pedestrian on Sunday night.

The accident occurred around 7:30pm at 17th Ave and Glendale Ave.

It appears Clifford Yazzie, 46, attempted to cross the road or stumbled into the street. The car that struck Yazzie was driving eastbound.

Paramedics transported 46 year old Clifford Yazzie to the hospital. He died shortly thereafter.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Impairment does not appear to be factor.

The accident investigation is ongoing.
