Indiana: Lavern Yoder and Mattie Yoder ID’d as Bicyclists Hit and Killed by Vehicle in LaGrange County

LaGrange County, IN – Two bicyclists were killed in a traffic collision in rural LaGrange County Wednesday night, according to LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.

The deadly crash happened in the 5300 block of W 100 S in Topeka shortly after 8 p.m. on February 26.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office said a man and woman, identified as 57-year-old Lavern Yoder and 58-year-old Mattie Yoder, were riding bicycles on the rural road not far from their home when they were hit by a 20-year-old SUV.

Both Larven and Mattie were pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office and Indiana State Police are investigating the incident.
