A fleeing Phoenix hit-and-run driver reportedly collided with multiple vehicles and a Valley Metro bus prior to coming to a dramatic stop after rolling over near 32nd Street and McDowell Road just before 5:00 p.m. on August 24.
After speaking with witnesses, Phoenix Police determined the following sequence of events occurred during this Phoenix Hit-and-Run Accident:
- A male hit-and-run driver first struck vehicles at the intersection of 40th Street and McDowell Road.
- The at-fault driver then fled the first accident scene, collided with other vehicles, and flipped their SUV over after colliding with a Valley Metro bus at 32nd Street and McDowell Road. He was taken to a local hospital for injuries.
One of the accident injury victims included a pregnant woman who was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Four other people were reported to have also suffered minor injuries. Another man was said to have been transported for treatment of critical injuries.
