Witnesses reported that after the driver of a Chevrolet Cruze crashed into the Jeep, the Cherokee erupted into flames and the at-fault driver attempted to flee the scene. The uninjured 21-years-old male driver was detained by witnesses until police arrived.

He was taken into custody under suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and leaving the scene of an injury accident. Other charges are still pending further investigation.
