Mesa, AZ (May 19, 2018) – A woman and an eight-year-old child, Sadie Nesbitt, are in critical condition after a Mesa crash. Paramedics transported them to the hospital. The young girl suffered a broken hip, two fractured legs, as well as bruising on liver, lungs and kidneys. Her mother’s injuries were less critical, but still resulted in possible torn ligaments in knee and torn rotator cuff.
The accident occurred around 8am on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 near Broadway Road and Ellsworth Road.
A southbound SUV collided with a second SUV turning left. One vehicle drifted off the road. It struck the two pedestrians on the sidewalk.
Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors at this time.
