Spanish Springs, NV. – A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Spanish Springs on Monday evening.
According to the Nevada Department of Transportation, the accident happened on Pyramid Way near Calle De La Plata at around 5 p.m.
A woman had been standing on the east shoulder of Pyramid Way when she started to walk across the road and was hit by a commercial vehicle.
The woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Authorities say impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
