Mesa, AZ (April 27th, 2018) – The DPS reported a two vehicle fatal crash that closed part of the east-bound Loop 202 near Mesa Friday morning. The crash occurred shortly after 2:30 in the morning. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, it happened just off Val Vista Drive. The two vehicle fatal crash involved a rolled-over SUV and another car.
According to Trooper Kameron Lee, the driver, male in his late 30s, of the SUV was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the car, female in her 20s, received non-life-threatening injuries, and also visited the hospital.
Currently, detectives suspect impairment; however, the investigation is ongoing.
