Officer Sean George Injured in Phoenix Crash

Phoenix, AZ (July 19, 2018)- A Phoenix police officer, Sean George, was seriously hurt following a Thursday crash.

According to Sgt. Armando M. Carbajal, Officer Sean George remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The Phoenix Police Foundation is collecting donations on the officer’s behalf.

Officer George was leaving the driveway of the Black Mountain Precinct; as he was headed south on Cave Creek he crashed into another car heading north on the road.

Sean George, 53, has served with the Phoenix department for 26 years. At the time of the incident he was driving an unmarked Chevrolet Malibu. He was at the department conducting administrative tasks in accordance with his duties.

The crash remains under investigation.
