Methamphetamine Use Confirmed in Fatal Mesa Crash by Myra Angle

Mesa, AZ (July 23, 2018)- According to Mesa Police, Myra Angle, a driver in a head-on collision last week, faces a charge of manslaughter after being released from the hospital Monday.

Angle admitted to officers that she had partook of methamphetamine before the crash that left one dead and three others injured on July 19th, near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road.

Myra Angle was travelling southbound on Mesa Drive, when she swerved into the opposite lane, then heading into wrong-way traffic, according to investigators. She then collided with a car head-on and killed Isabel Hernandez, 32.

Authorities stated that three other people were in the car with Hernandez when the crash happened. All of them suffered broken bones and head injuries. They remained hospitalized Monday.

Police said that Myra Angle was booked on suspicion of one count of class 2 felony aggravated assault, one count of manslaughter, and one count of class 3 felony aggravated assault.
