Tuxton, AZ (June 7, 2018)- A 63-year-old engineer died and a 26-year-old engineer was significantly injured after their freight trains collided in an isolated area located in northwestern Arizona; just 103 miles west of Flagstaff. Both men were employees of Herzog Railroad Services, Inc.
The deadly Arizona train crash occurred on Tuesday, June 6th, 2018 near Truxton, on BNSF’s double-track southern main line. One train derailed. The second had major front-end damage.
Mojave County Sheriff’s Department and The National Transportation Safety Board will conduct independent investigations into the Arizona train collision .
