3 People Dead and 2 People Critically Injured after Bell Road Rollover Crash

Bell Road Rollover Crash leaves 3 dead and 2 injured

Thursday, October 18, 2018 – An early morning, single-vehicle crash resulted in 3 deaths and 2 in critical condition.

On Thursday morning, a vehicle was heading westbound on Bell Road at a high velocity near I-17 in Phoenix. The vehicle struck a raised median, causing the driver to lose control. The driver went off the roadway and collided with a light pole near 2500 W Bell Road.

First responders arrived at the Bell Road rollover crash at approximately 1:09 am., according to a press release by the Phoenix Fire Department. First responders removed all 5 individuals from the vehicle, two of which died at the scene.

One rescued individual later died at a hospital because of their injuries. The other two, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, are in critical condition.

West Bell Road was closed from North 19th Street all the way to Black Canyon Freeway, but it has since been reopened.

Phoenix Police Department continues investigating what occurred. Police have not reported any further updates.
